Makes me smile

My dear friend Lauren called tonight . I get such joy out of talking to her , and i wish there could be more people in the world like her . She's pure and sweet and as real a person as i've ever met . Brutally honest , but only if you deserve it .
We talked about "getting it" and how so few people really do . I don't know ... I'm just at a loss for words . I miss her terribly . I miss the five hour conversations and her wonderment at a world that awaits her . Her laugh makes me smile . Her eyes are like nothing i've ever seen , beautiful and deep like her thoughts . Oh well . It's late and i must get to bed . At least i can go to bed with a smile on my face thanks to her call .

Tainted towel

The Steelers were given the Superbowl , which really doesn't seem to faze the uphoric fans of that town , their team won ... And that is that , and piss on you if you don't like it . ... Well i don't like it . I don't like that Kimo Van "Holdoften" destroyed my quartebacks knee . I don't like that the Steelers beat a quarteback that in his career has only won one playoff game . And i don't like the fact that they got to play Denver because New England was so decimated with injuries this year . They were the receipients of a tremendous luck streak and favorable officiating ... It probably didn't hurt their cause either that the NFL seemed to want them to win . After all, the NFL could sell more terrible towls than twelth man flags anyway . And that's all that's really important isn't it ? Stand tall , walk proud Pittsburgh . You earned it ?
